When he did this service, he showed his disciples and us that as a leader don't always expect to be served but you must also serve to the point where you forget who you are. This reminds me of the leaders who do their own things. There are leaders in some of the churches in South africa who can pick somebody's wife to come and bath their feet. So the word of God is used incorrectly by these hypocites. There are leaders outside there who expect the people to serve them, but they will never enter the poor of the poorest house, where sometimes it will be dry and the will be no orange, drink and coffee for the pastor to drink. Please leaders do likewise, Jesus was a servant of God not a Master.
