He knew that to die for people was his purpose to come into the world and he must achieve that. But how terrible it would be to know someone self's death! How trembling I would be if it were me. There must have been strong passion inside of Jesus. Hallelujah! If it were not him, we would have been doomed to eternal death. Glory belongs to God forever! Jesus knew he would be killed in Jerusalem, and still he led the way. What characteristics does Jesus demonstrate here?

Jesus defines a great person as one who serves others. What did Jesus mean when he said he "did not come to be served, but to serve and give his life as a ransom for many."? Jesus was predicting his sacrifice on the cross for us all, which had been depicted in the Scripture that the Messiah would come into the world to save people from sins. He meant he came with the supreme mission to give us instead of take from us. He also gave us the best example of "blessed are those who give than who take".

Jesus exaggerates to makes the point that one should eliminate things that cause one to sin (disobey God). What things might you eliminate to be more spiritually healthy? I want to eliminate everything that prevents me from being joyful and free. They are, up to now I have discovered, vanity, proud, greed, laziness, pessimism, worry, fear and lack of trust in the Lord Jesus.
