Bonus question: Why was the veil torn in two? "The sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two"
The Order of God`s Creation continued to quake. And the torn veil of the temple suggests  the forfeiture of the justifiability of the worship in the temple by the brutal murder of Jesus by Jews.

When Jesus "breathed his last" and was pronounced dead; why did The Roman centurion glorify god?

At three in the Afternoon.Because a darkness came over the whole land .The veil of the Temple was torn right down the middle.and when Jesus had cried out in a loud voice,he said,`Father, into your hands I commit my spirit`.

And the Word Became Flesh

Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, being God Almighty: "Who, being in the very nature of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, 7 but made Himself NOTHING, taking the very nature of  a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death - even death on a cross! 9 Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 in that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:5-11)

This is the God that I serve! Jesus Christ is absolutely amazing and has been my personal saviour for about 13 years now. As this Christmas season is approaching, we think back to how much He humbled himself as Scripture says by coming down as a lowly man in order to become a sin offering for our stead.

He led a perfect and sinless life. In living as an actual man, he experienced all the pain and difficulties that we ourselves may experience in life. That is why, as it says in Hebrews 4, "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to symphatize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are- yet was without sin. 16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:15,16

Jesus is now before the Father, interceding for us on our behalf. He has given us the Holy Spirit to help us, and to remind us of all that He hath taught us. And sometime He will return in power and in might to bring all things, which are subject to Him unto judgement and to cast Satan into the fiery pit.
