My thoughts/notes on the verses that we given to us about this question: 

Abide and keep:

The temple of God will dwell within us. We will become the bride of Christ.

Just as we, who are evil know how to give gifts to our children, how much more will our heavenly Father give to those who ask it of them.

Everlasting life with God. The flesh and earthly body has also been crucified with Christ on the cross. And just as Christ rose from the dead on the third day, conquering death, so too has death in us been conquered through this act.

This is symbolized in the act of Baptism. We are dunked under the water, symbolizing our death in all it's sinful transgressions. Then, someone reaches down and pulls us up out of the drowning water.

The Springs of Living Water, and the Bread of Life is now within us! Amen!

We are lead by our Shepherd, who leads us into green pastures. Who protects us from the evil one. Who is the "the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God."

This question of what does it mean to be loved by God has so many facets to it. God desires to spill His love into each and every area of our life. We are to become a completely NEW creation. Born again as children of God!

The more I thought of this, I saw how every dimension of my life is now affected by God's love.

Meaning, the love that I am even able to experience has been given to me by God. My wedding band has 1 John 4:16 on it, We love because He first loved us."

The blessing of my marriage is due to the lavish love that God has bestowed upon me.

The very fact that I am even able to recognize God just in small part as to who He really is is because of Him reaching down and saving me while I was still in the very depths of my sin.

Romans 5:6-8

"You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8But God demonstrates his own love in this: While we were still yet sinners, Christ died for us."

God lavishes His love upon us! This should cause our hearts to become affected by this great and mighty love. We in return, give up ourselves in humble adoration to the One who has done all of this for us.

That is why it is good to continually reflect on all that God has done for us. It can become all too easy to fix our minds on the things of this world and it's silly toubles along with our selfish selves and forgot all that God has done for us.

Hosea 13:4 "But I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt.You shall acknowledge no God but me, no Savior except me. 5I cared for you in the desert, in the land of burning hea. 6When I fed them, they were satisfied; when they were satisfied, they became proud; then they forgot me.

May we not forgot our first love: that of Christ Jesus. His loving eyes are always on us. He pleads before the Father's behalf as our strong advocate. In serving Him, may we see that His way is indeed the best way and the only true way to life and love everlasting. Amen.
