Why didn`t the disciples want little children to come to Jesus? Why did Jesus allow the little children to come?
Have you ever sat down and observe how children behave at a kids party for instance. They come to the party probably no knowing anyone but before you know it they have made so many friends.Adults however would probably come and leave without saying a word to the person sitting next to them. There is so much joy and harmony and innocence among the children .They can also get really noisy and loud too. This is the reaon why I think the disciples didn`t want them coming to Jesus because they thought that they would disturb and distract Jesus. However Jesus said to them, Allow the little children, and don`t forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ONES LIKE THESE Note what he said ONES LIKE THESE He was not just refering to children but to people who live like children free of prejudices, innocent, interacting with one another regardless of colour, race or creed, regardless of how rich or how poor. The newest and most important commandment Jesus gave us is to LOVE ONE ANOTHER and I think a childs life portays that love. If we were to live our lives like that I think we would be well on our way to inheriting the kingdom of heaven. We need to use children as an example. That is what Jesus did!!!!

Why did Jesus tell the rich man to sell all his possessions before coming to follow Him?
Jesus wanted to test the rich man`s faith. If he was really seeking the kingdom of God and understood what it stands for then giving up worldly things would be easy. But here is a man who was caught up.....trapped in his worldly achievements. .how do you tell a man with everything that there is treasure waiting for him in heaven when he has all the treasure he need right here on earth? Why should he give it up ? Why should he even bother?Following Jesus would mean being humble and being friends with the lowly. the sick and the poor. Did he really want to do that? He had friends in high places. His heart was heavy and sad because he didn`t understand what Jesus was saying to him.Jesus was merely asking him whether he would give up his life for God just as he did. I think that is what he meant when he said sell all you have and follow me.Jesus knew he was on his way to God and if this man had followed him he too would be on his way to heaven ... But because of his lack of faith he did not want to give up what he already posessed for something he that he had not seen. How easy is it to give up what we have for the promise of better things to come.....especially if it something that we have never seen before. That is the cleverness of Jesus` teaching. He is not telling us to go sell all we have and stay without....what he is saying to us is that if we are seeking the kindom of God we should not put all our focus on things of this world. They are only there to make our journey through life comfortable but we should not let them rule our lives..he will provide all these things if we only let him and we can only let him if we are following in his path.If we are blessed with plenty we should share with others because we know that when we move on there is alot in store for us. That is what Jesus is saying to us. Don`t just go about your life seeking weath....we can`t spend all our life doing that because we will leave them here anyway when we move on to the great beyond and also if all our time is spent gatheing wealth how can we build a frienship with God and be a witness for him if we are too busy in our own materialistic world? So why not look to the future....to God`s Kingdom where there will be treasure in abundance!!!! By doing God`s will here on earth we are doing a job for christ and he is putting our salary in a heavenly bank so we can enjoy it upon retirement!!! Why not save for the future...isn`t it worth it???

How does hardness of heart lead to divorce? How does one avoid having a hard heart?
Hardness of Heart...what does it really mean....well I guess there is no straight forward answer. We fall in love with someone and get all consumed by passion. We feel such a deep desire for each other that we decide to get married.Everything is going well and there is just such tenderness in everything that is said an done...and forgiveness comes easy. However these little thing slowly fade away and before we know it we start building up barriers, and mental blocks because we no longer feel that connection we once had. We are losing touch with each other because our expectations are so high and we get disappointed. We find fault with the slightest change in behavior and when something gets us angry we tend to harden our hearts hoping that something will happen to make our partners come around and see things from our prospective. ........Now for us to achieve that we we need to release all the anger we feel and try to talk things out. Unfortunately however this is not always the case and we hold on to the anger and tempers flare. Instead of engaging in meaningful discussion we say and do thing that are hurtful and unpleasant which only leads to further hardening of our hearts. Now if we allow this to continue to happen we would only allow ourselves to reach a point of no return. It is like a cancer and it take over our whole being and before we realise it our hearts become consumed by hate and we are no longer able to get back to where we were.....it has gotten to a point of no return and with such hardness of heart there in no way out but to get a divorce .That is why marriage is a journey and and we have to go into it with a deep genuine love for our partners. We should try to work on the small issues by discussing it and when the bigger problem arises it will be alot easier to handle.Anger leads to hatred & hardness of hearts and Divorce. Love leads to forgiveness and peace and A HAPPY MARRIAGE which can only be achieved with the help of God who stenghens us.I thank him for a Happy Marriage!!!! To all the married couple out there i urge you to take a step backward and look at your relationships from the point of view of the person looking in and see where you can make things better for both you and your partner....how you can let a little forgiveness and love in.Just try to remember that person you were when you said I DOand try to be that person over again. Trust me, God will richly and truly bless your marriage.
