768 entries for this category: Why did Jesus seem to discourage the Scribe and the disciple from following Him? Didn`t He want these two to join Him? To me Jesus knew the work that had to be done by Him through the Father, was not fitting for a person of the flesh, so He discourage the scribe to follow Him. The prophesy had to be fulfill, and Jesus knew at some point the scribe would give up. Reference to "foxes and birds" having a place of rest. And as noted, in Matthew, the disciple, Jesus told to "Follow Him."

In what ways does the physical healings performed by Jesus in the path parallel the spiritual healings he performs on people today? Physical healing performed by Jesus parallel to spiritual healing today, I understand as while manifest in the flesh, Jesus physically healed, and now ressurrected, spiritually heals people through their faith and relationship with Christ Jesus.
