Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? I believe the reason Jesus had to experience both physical and emitional pain is because we too experience both physical and emotional pain.,.. Jesus Chris had to suffer what we suffer for all our sins to be forgiven, not only our physical sins but our emotional ones as well.
