Why did Jesus instruct his followers to react passively when attacked? Because JESUS' mission was all about teaching lessons about peace, love, harmony, understanding & compassion. Any reactions negative in nature was in direct conflict with JESUS' teaching and GOD'S will.

In what ways are Jesus` followers salt and light to the world? They are out there in public preaching and teaching the word of God. Seeing is believing and they are showing how wonderful God's word is all of mankind. They are showing the way of the Lord.
