413 entries for this category: Some people need signs & wonders because like St. Thomas they have to see to believe plus life is too sweet to let go of all material things to go & serve Jesus. Others need nothing to help them believe in Jesus. Their religious upbringing is enough for them to serve God. How does the "eternal life" Jesus offers differ from the "ordinary life" people live? I believe that the "eternal life" Jesus offers differ from the "ordinary life" people live in a mighty major way, in the sense that there are no more pains, sorrows or tears just happiness, love & sharing. This is the life God wanted for us before Adam & Eve first sinned.

Why did Jesus tell the man to take up the mat and walk, even though Jesus knew this violated what the Jews permitted on the Sabbath? I believe that the act of healing someone who was stricken down for so long was a very good deed to be done than keeping watch that your neighbour does not work on a Sabbath. So thus, Jesus was showing that good deeds are welcome on a Sabbath.
