His disciples did not fast at that moment because their Master & Lord was still with them but they surely did so after He was gone. Jesus way was fresh or new in the sense that all the sacrifices to God were not necessary again since Jesus Himself died for us as a sacrifice once for all.

Why did Jesus forgive the man`s sins first, and heal afterward? Jesus was so amazed with the men faith that He immediately forgave the sick man of his sins. I do believe that for the eyes of everyone there, He forgave the man of his sins first and then healed him.

Why did Jesus heal by touching the man with leprosy (a contageous disease)? I believe that Jesus healed the man with leprosy by touching him because He had compassion for the man. By touching him, He proved that He was the Son of God and this man would spread the news all over thus causing people to look for Jesus.
