Jesus was teaching them the ways of God that will lead them to enternity and life after death, but they were very strong headed and believe more on their man made doctorine and tradition. Peter became afraid because he doubted, his faith weaver and shift from Jesus to the thought of the strong wind and wave of the sea and that it is not possible to work on the sea. "You of little faith, why did you doubt? was what Jesus said to Peter, becouse as long as his faith was strong and his eyes were fixed on Jesus, he was really working on the sea, but when he lost faith, and doubt, he began to sink. Why did Jesus call the Pharisees blind? What were they unable to see?
