When we pray we have to believe that what we praying for will be done by God. If we dont believe in what we asking for ourselves how can God give it to us. In the same way sin acts as something that cuts our relationship with God. Unforgiveness is an example of sin because it means we have no love for others. So if we dont forgive others it means God wont be able to forgive us and when we pray our prayers can't flow properly as there is sin in our hearts. So for us to have effective prayer we have to have a clear conscience and that comes with having no sin within us and God can use us more effectively if we believe in what we are praying about..

Jesus was angered by religious people inappropriately taking people`s money (robber`s den). Why did Jesus take such dramatic action and not just condemn with words? He was demonstrating against using the house of God for business instead of worshiping God. He belives there is nothing good to be offered to God apart from worship in truth and in Spirit.
