In what ways do followers of Jesus fish for men? What does this mean?

When we fish we cast bait into the water and try to catch any fish that will latch on. Followers of Jesus use the WOrd of God as the bait to try and catch any man and as many men as possible much the same as we do when we fish

How is Jesus coming into Galilee like light coming into a dark place? What is there about Jesus teaching that is like light?

The Gentiles were not of Abraham's seed so they did not live under the law of Moses as handed down by God. So they were a sinful generation who lived like lost sheep since they had neither the law or blessings of God. Jesus is like light because He is a teacher who preaches God's love and God's way. Jesus helped bring them to a state worthy of being a child and servant of God

Why was it important for Jesus to go through a time of temptation?

Jesus needed to show and be an example for everyone that temptation by the devil can be defeated and overcome. Also it was very important for Jesus to overcome the devil to carry on his whole life without sin so that He could be pure when He would be sacrificed so mankind could be saved
