Judas betrayed Jesus with a kiss in order to please and fulfil the promise he made to the multitudes sent by the priest and the elders. This was a sign of betrayal at the same time a Jewish custom of showing love to something. Judas loved money and it was a cheat of idea to kiss Jesus in love because in real sense , he betrayed Jesus . Jesus said " all the times He had been teaching and sitting in the Temple , no one could come and betray Him but with the kiss of Judas, it was done to fulfil the scriptures. Jesus is the might God! Why did not the Father let the cup pass and spare Jesus the pain of the crucifiction? God the father did not let the cup pass and spare Jesus the pain of the crucification because His desire was to serve all mankind through the blood of His son Jesus Christ for the sacrifice of all. Jesus could not be apared as God wanted to fulfill the scriptures written in the Bible "Isiah 53 Vs 5". God loved the world and it was/is through Jesus that He teach the people to be alert and not sleep in sins. Let us do the will of God and allow the desire of God to be done on us. AMEN!!!

Why do you think Peter was so emphatic and yet so wrong about denying Jesus? Peter was so emphatic and yet so wrong about denying Jesus because he started well and ended up badly. Peter's confessed that he will not stumble but die with Jesus did not go on well because later on at night, he denied Jesus three times. Peter's confession to face death with Jesus was questionable.
