How did Joseph know it was a real angel appearing to him in his dreams, and not just , for example, indigestion? Joseph has the same faith he had when he took Mary before Jesus was born, and taking them to Egypt after Jesus birth. This is the same Faith guiding him to recognise God's word from other human or satanic information.
