Why does Jesus encourage focusing on the daily task at hand and discourage predicting the future? Jesus encourages focusing on the daily task because no body knows what will happen in the future so it is better for us to get ready today and everyday day by day for Jesus second coming. Because we do not know when the hour or day is when HE will be coming in the future.
