Why was the Kingdom of God taken away from the chief priests and Pharisees?

B/c they did not accept Jesus who was the head corner stone.

Why did Jesus clear the temple in such a dramatic manner? Why did not he try to accomplish the same thing more diplomatically?

B/c the high priests condoned the practice, therefore diplomacy was useless.

Why did Jesus choose to make His entry to Jerusalem in a humble manner, riding a donkey?

It was His mission, for a specific purpose. Zechariah prophesied that the rider of the donkey would humbly present Himself as the prophesied King of Israel.

All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying,
"Tell the daughter of Zion,

behold, your King comes to you,

humble, and riding on a donkey,

on a colt, the foal of a donkey."
