The common people are praising Jesus, expecting him to become Israel`s next king. Jesus knew they would turn against him a few days later when he disappointed their expectation. Do you have expections of Jesus which he did not promise?

The commoners wanted Jesus to be their king was because they wanted Him to give them provision for life for they had seen Jesus turned the five fish and two bread into thousands to feed them all in the desert. This is not what Jesus promised.

What did the blind man acknowledge about Jesus by calling him the "Son of David."? Note: David was a great king of Israel. The "Messiah" was predicted to be a direct descendent of David, as Jesus was.

That Jesus was the predicted Messiah who is a descendant of King David.
